Privacy Policy
What we store
- An account ID. The app creates an anonymous account when you first play together or save a game. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we also store the identifier Apple gives us so you can get back into the same account. We do not ask Apple for your email address.
- Your profile: the display name, avatar and (optional) country you choose.
- Your games: the grids you played, the players you named, wrong guesses, hints used and your scores.
- Co-op rooms, leagues and challenges you create or join, and the name you used in them.
- Reports and blocks: if you report another player's name we keep which name you reported and where you saw it, so we can review it. If you block a player we keep that so their name stays hidden for you. The reported player is never told who reported them.
- Crash reports: if the app hits an error, it sends the error message, where in the app it happened, the app version and the platform (iOS or web). No personal details are included.
Some things stay only on your phone: your settings, colour theme and any unfinished game.
Who can see it
Your display name, avatar, country and scores appear on daily leaderboards, in leagues you join, in co-op rooms and on head-to-head results. Other players never see your answers list, your account ID or anything from Apple.
Why
To run the game: scoring answers by how rare they are, showing leaderboards and league tables, keeping your stats and streaks, and fixing bugs. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
Nobody, apart from the services that run the app for us:
- Supabase, which hosts the database (servers in Ireland, EU).
- Expo, which delivers app updates and hosts this website.
- Apple, if you use Sign in with Apple.
Player information in the game (clubs, nationalities, trophies, appearances) comes from public sources such as Wikidata, Wikipedia and Transfermarkt data. None of it is about you.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your data until you delete your account. In the app, go to Profile and tap Delete my account. That permanently removes your profile, games, stats, league places and challenges straight away. You can also email us to ask.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages, but accounts and leaderboards are not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission).
